Czech glass beads are very popular and have been made for hundreds of years, by Bohemian and then by Czech glass bead makers.  The Czech firepolished beads are created by pressing glass in a mold to create the bead, then roughly faceting it by hand or machine.  The beads’ surface is then melted to “fire polish” it.  This is done to give it a better luster.   I love these high quality glass beads and choose many to accent the genuine semi-precious gemstones I use. 

To care for Czech glass beads use liquid soap and a cloth.  Rinse with warm water and pat dry.  Allow to air dry.
