In your microwave, warm up half a cup of water. Mix together some instant oatmeal, some honey, a tablespoon of cinnamon, and toddlers’ milk in a bowl. Then add the warmed water to the bowl to form a paste. Test the temperature of the paste to make sure it won’t burn you, then apply to your face. Spread the paste evenly over your face but avoid your eyes. Let the paste sit on your face from a half an hour to a full sixty minutes. After that time, wash it off with water and papaya soap, which can be found in most organic sections of the grocery store. If you don’t want to use papaya soap, use whatever you have on hand.

You can also combine a fourth cup of oatmeal, a fourth cup of almonds, a tablespoon of cornstarch, and a tablespoon of chamomile tea. After blending the ingredients together with a blender or a food processor, put the mixture into glass jars. To use it on your face, take a couple teaspoons of the mixture in your hand and add a little bit of water to form a paste. Spread the mixture on your face in soft circular motions, gently using your fingers. Use warm water and a soft washcloth to rinse your face after spreading the paste evenly over your face, avoiding your eyes.

If you suffer with dry skin try this recipe. First, massage your face with a tablespoon of dry oatmeal. To moisturize try adding a mashed banana to 3 ounces of yogurt just like a cream. As you spread this mixture onto your skin avoid your eyes. Allow this to sit for twenty minutes before rinsing it off with warm clean water.

With all of the options out there it might be fun to even try developing one of your own too. You’ll want to be sure and do a patch test before you smear any mix onto your skin and end up with irritation. Don’t go to the expensive spa when you are likely to find a recipe right at home that will do the trick.
